He is exactly the kind of kid who wanted to move at his own pace, was a little jumpy when he did in person lessons with a teacher, and always love a little screen time :) He is taking these lessons so seriously and is moving slowly through each video and practice session. My husband is actually looking over his shoulder for lessons and has started practicing a little on his own guitar... :) I feel really good about the fact that we aren't dropping $60-$70 on a half hour in-person lesson that, depending on my son's mood, is more or less productive, and we're not locked in to any time. I can tell him "go practice some guitar" whenever I want or whenever he says "I'm bored" and he can turn on Zero to Kumzitz and go for 30-40 minutes. He needs a little adult oversight every once in a while to make sure he isn't speeding through practice sessions, but I think that's totally worthwhile given the detail of the lessons, and the cost savings. He's practicing and watching a lot and really enjoying!
